I'm reluctant to RNG deaths because I really want that to be at the discretion of the player (also, you may want to reconsider if you want to bring Lakshmi to a sequel game, the permadeath is most likely going to transfer over). If you definitely want to have Lakshmi die during the hijacking though that can be arranged!
