There's even more that Lapis doesn't like; the fact she's trapped, the fact that she's effectively human, and that human bodies have requirements (that she isn't particularly good at keeping up on, if she were honest with herself), and the fact that she's somehow been dragged into another war.
Even if she's not a prisoner, it's not as if she has any means to escape this place. She wouldn't anyway, not until they can fix what they've done to her to begin with.
