That's not very reassuring, and the look Ivan gives his cousin perfectly sums up both his disbelief and dawning horror of the one person he thought could figure them out of this mess has no clue either. Great. Fantastic. Ivan is going to die in a snow drift without getting laid, nearly eighty years before he's even born. "Are you sure? The whole time-traveling thing is new, but if there was anyone who was going to end up dragging me back to the Invasion, Miles, it'd be you." He's just saying. "I thought you'd calmed down after the whole appointment." Not that going dangerously political was any better, but it involved less involvement on Ivan's part, which he liked. So why is he being made to suffer like this?

The grimace does indeed answer the question, and Ivan give his cousin a sympathetic pat on the shoulder. "That bad? Sounds like he hasn't changed a bit."
