Shot through the heart, and Toska's to blame... He sees Colin as a rabbit? The human's already fragile self-esteem takes a nosedive off Toska's blithe laughter. Okay, he knows he's never going to be anyone's knight in shining armor, but surely he's not.. that weak. And screamy?? What does that even mean? He's only screamed once or twice. Or a few times. Not that many, surely..
He barely even notices that he's been set back down in the snow once more, expression looking a little stricken. That's right, isn't it? He's not like Toska or even Miko. He's not strong, and he's always afraid--even now, he can feel his heart beating too loudly, too quickly in his ears--and he always has to be rescued.
He sucks in a breath, then straightens, forcing his shoulders down and his chin up. "I am not a rabbit." He turns on his heel, then sinks into a hole hidden by the snow, startling himself and sputtering as he wades his way back out, indignant and upset and flustered. "Ugh! This is ridiculous. I'm going back to the camp. Are you coming or not?"
