Charlie has earned herself a reputation as one of the surlier newcomers. Despite an effort from some of the others to get to know her, she generally looks sour and like she's being stabbed repeatedly when someone she's not interested in tries having a conversation with her. And when she's cornered into doing something she doesn't like, she looks like an animal that's about to lash out and attack in order to run away. The one thing that she does like happens to be the rations. The food is awful to some of the others, but for someone that's used to either going hungry or having to eat canned food that expired over a decade ago she's pretty content with what's offered here. Especially since she supplements everything with what she hunts in her spare time.

She's in the middle of grabbing some rations to go along with the meat she's going to be cooking when she hears his question, and turns to look him up and down. "What, you aren't grateful to the hand that feeds you?" It's as close as she's come to being genuinely conversational since her arrival. She even manages a smile.
