Piotr wants more information than Daryl is willing to give him. Not that it's vital, or even sensitive, but truth and honesty are bought with loyalty, and Daryl doesn't feel that for Piotr yet. He may not ever.

So he gives Piotr the hard facts, without any of the things Daryl finds truly important. "Dead," he says. "She's dead. Your goddamn wormhole sucked her in before that happened."

He shouldn't have to say anything else. This count cares out of idle curiosity and maybe some genuine desire to know his troops. Whatever the reason, this should be enough to sate him. "Deserves a good life, here."
