MOD UPDATE RE: ACTIVITY CHECK & LOYALTY PERKS

HEY ALL as per discussions on Plurk/Discord, we're moving the AC period to the last week of the month instead of the first week of the following month. The reason for this is so that people can use LP from AC to pick up perks before the start of the next month's plot, rather than having to wait until the middle of the first plot to be able to -- this benefits both the player and mod sides, because seeing what perks people take allows me to tailor the next plot writeup a little more to what people are doing ICly.

So yes, this does mean that January's AC period is being moved back, but for this month I'll extend it a few days into February to give you some extra time. I will respond to AC check-ins and award LP as they come in, and once you have that LP you can zip right on over to the loyalty perks page to request any shiny new perks you might want. Further clarifications about AC:

  • Any threads started in the month of AC still count even if they were started during the check-in period. The AC move is not in any way affecting the window of threads you can use.
  • 5 of your own comments in a thread count as a proof. Individual threads under top-level catch-alls can count separately.
  • You get 1 LP for checking in. You can also submit up to 5 extra proofs for 1 LP each, meaning you can get a max of 6 LP by maxing out bonus AC.
  • And, because there was some confusion about how LP and perks work: taking a perk doesn't spend any LP. It's more about meeting a minimum required level and what becomes available to you at that level. If anyone has any further questions about loyalty perks, please don't hesitate to hit me up.

That said, activity check for this month will start on January 25th. I'm still in the process of updating the calendar and finalizing the numbers for the perks page but that should be done soon. Hit me with any questions in the comments if you've got 'em.

PEACE
