INTRO: Currently a lot of job hunting things, video games I’m currently playing (a lot of Overwatch sometimes), history (primarily US history since that’s what I study), and RP!

CHARACTER NAME: Duv Galeni
CHARACTER A/S/L: 34 / M / Barrayar
CHARACTER INTRO: He has a doctorate in history, specifically in “modern” Barrayaran history (so… this time period that’s currently occurring, he is both fascinated and hates that he is here). He’s a bit of a pariah when it comes to native Barrayarans since he’s from Komarr, the planet that sold Barrayar out and helped start this messy affair in the first place. He has military training since he joined up with Barrayar’s Imperial Service, placed with the spy bois, during his adulthood not that anyone from Barrayar would currently believe him so he’s keeping that on the downlow. Also was a child terrorist (reformed he swears) because his family is special and used to be bigwigs on Komarr before Barrayar took it over at a much later date than now.
STATUS: So he was on the Cetaganda side, but was kidnapped in a raid last month and is spending the early days of this month being interrogated by Piotr and Byerly. Currently recovering and stubbornly trying to prove he’s loyal to Barrayar since he’s Komarran and that’s a whole bag of worms. Also part of the failure of a hunting party, you’re welcome for having no food.
CR YOU WANT: People he can commiserate with, antagonism welcome since he can be snarky/dry/sassy at times. He’s not likely to take care of himself if it means he has a chance at proving his loyalty, so anyone that wants to tell him to sit his ass down and chill is cool. I’m pretty loosely goosey and willing to throw him at people and see what happens, honestly.
CR YOU CAN PROVIDE: He can be a serious, sarcastic fellow and provide vague context to characters wanting more information about what’s going on. He’s not telling anyone his true background because “time traveling historian” is not something he wants to broadcast, so he’s going with academic with an understanding of what’s happening in this galaxy. If anyone wants to flirt with him, he can provide a clueless brick wall that will be completely oblivious to any attempts if that interests anyone.

It's pretty easy to get commiseration points when you were just tortured, ahahahahaha. Beth's willing to commiserate and is quietly trying to figure out her longish-term options, and she can be quietly firm about eating your damn dinner if need be. So there are a fair number of options, most of them p. friendly. ♥

Oooo all of those sound very friendly. Duv also spoke/worked with Daryl while he was on Ceta side, so that could be something they can talk about (though my Walking Dead is rusty and I can't remember if Beth and Daryl are close in canon). They should chat on this first log for the month.

OH SHIT YES. They're pretty good friends by this point in canon--they got drunk together and everything!--so Beth would pretty much be ecstatic to hear that Daryl's out there. I'll try and tag his top-level tonight before bed, and failing that, tomorrow morning.
