INTRO: I am a cosplayer, RenFest enthusiast, gamer, and all-around geek type person. Comic books, movies, video games, table top, all the geek, bring it me. Fandoms I am into the most atm are Overwatch, MCU, Firefly, Dragon Age, and Red vs Blue. I like many other things too, but those are my go-to. I also have three small furry sociopaths that are allegedly cats. THINGS. STUFF. COME CHAT WITH ME.
CHARACTER NAME: Satya Vaswani | Symmetra
CHARACTER A/S/L: 29 / Female / Cetaganda
CHARACTER INTRO: Extremely fixated on order and structure, Symmetra was scooped out of the war-torn slums of her hometown as a kid and brought up to be fixated on the idea of constructing a perfect world for people to exist within. Of course peace and security usually come at the cost of freedom and individuality, but isn't it better to be safe and comfortable? She's autistic, a little awkward socially (usually masking that with a 'too good for you' attitude) and not terribly empathetic, but she's got a good heart and means well.
STATUS: Current title holder of 'taking all these shenanigans better than anyone else', she's settling in and trying to learn what she can from their hosts. It all seems to be on the level, though she's getting encouragement from a few of the other 'exotics' to look deeper than the surface, despite her desire to simply go along with things as they stand.
CR YOU WANT:
ANTAGONISTS: By which I mean, people to antagonize her and keep her from growing too complacent. Challenge her way of thinking. Instigate debate, provoke questions. Deep down, she knows she should be exploring her options, but indoctrinated behavior is a bitch to break away from. FRIENDS: Tall order, because she is kind of aloof on the best of days, and she's better with science and dance than people. She is extremely loyal once won over, however, and she doesn't necessarily enjoy being alone all the time. (ooc preference: the more diametrically opposed to her the friend, the better.) CULTURE LOVERS: Someone else has to appreciate what the Cetagandans have here, right? I mean look at all this stuff! The technology, the art, it's majestic, and this is just an outpost. Why are more people not geeking out over this??
CR YOU CAN PROVIDE:
DEBATE ABOUT ORDER vs CHAOS: And other such associated discussions. Let her word at you. Word at her in return. Hash out the complex structure of society and how it effects humanity. Words! Words for everyone! MOTHER HEN: Is your character messy? Prone to injury? Do they need someone looking after them while they do their best to ruin this very fine opportunity they have here? Are they likely to try and run away? If you want a counter to bad/careless behavior, whether your character wants one or not, Symmetra is here. And she is so ratting you out, given half the chance. It's for your own good. QUIET BUDDIES: You know what's great? Quietly exercising or meditating to focus one's thoughts in a chaotic situation. It's even better with other people that you can settle in and enjoy the quiet with. No, really. You should come try it with her. There's something to be said for silent co-habitation.
