Wash is well familiar with badass ladies who can completely wreck his shit, he'd probably get along with her! He honestly has quite a bit in common with Bucky. Experimental military programs, man.

Sorry for the slow response I've been pretty busy of late but I've been planning on throwing up a starter for Wash with a couple prompts and I'll probably have one with him in the training room if you'd be up for that. I tend to prefer skipping sparring though 'cause writing fights is hard, so we could maybe do something with them talking after sparring a couple times and being surprisingly evenly matched? Or we could thread out a spar too, really, up to you.

No worries about the slow, I caught a tiny cold so I was under the weather for a bit anyway.

But gosh, I would TOTALLY be down for some post-sparring conversations. Experimental military programs, people who remind her of Bucky are all A+, especially since I play with Bucky having been one of her instructors, and she could honestly do with having someone's opinion she gives 40% of a fuck about. ;)

But I feel you, and handwaving it is perfect. :D

You have no idea how much Wash hates being in some military base which has an entire R&D thing because there have to be military experiments and FUCK MILITARY EXPERIMENTS.

Yeahhh, Diya sort of reminds her of the Matron from the Red Room so Nat is kind of Not Thrilled but Playing Nice for the moment.

That looks great! Can toss a post-sparring thing at your training prompt. ;)

And also just an idle thought I had, but if you wanted to have them conversing some day after her eavesdropping thing, Nat might maybe bring up that Diya doesn't want to send them back... If that's a thing you'd be interested in having him find out about. (Obvious depends on How Things Go, etc, but you know~) I just thought I'd mention it.

Diya knows more about him than he'd like because one of his canonmates is less paranoid than he is and he hates this so much he does not trust her EVEN SLIGHTLY. Just. All the bad feelings. All the terrible feelings.

Great!! Feel free to like make up and handwave whatever, I can tell you more about Wash's capabilities if you need, but if it helps I feel like he would be able to put up a good fight and might even be able to catch her off guard sometimes, but I think she'd pretty much be able to win hands down. Ironically the 6'2" man is actually on the smol side for his crew and he relies on speed and resourcefulness more than brute strength, and even smoller Nat would probably be able to get the better of him, especially with the sheer amount of experience she has over him. Also getting his ass handed to him by badass ladies that are so much better than him at fighting is. Basically IC for him, really.

And Wash would be very interested to hear that, that'd definitely be something interesting for them to talk about! Wash didn't find out anything super interesting about the Cetas but he'd share that he knows there are ~exotics~ like them with the Barrayans.
