Hey guys, Madi here! Just got a couple of updates for you folks. I wanted to let you know that I'm working on updating the FAQ and Premise pages clarifying the game's plot etc, and this should be done tomorrow!
Also, we are instating a cast cap of 5 characters per canon in the interest of keeping the game cast diverse. We are in no way unhappy with any of our current cast -- you guys are all fantastic, seriously, keep up the good work -- but we realized that keeping the game cast diverse is important to the tone of the game. And this cap may be raised in the future depending on how things go in the game.
I know a bunch of you were working on enabling castmates into the game, and I know this might put a damper on some of them, and I apologize. MORE FUN is always my goal, and the decision was something I'd mulling over for a couple of days, but still, I apologize for any lost fun. It feels somehow inappropriate to use emoticons in this Official Mod Post but please imagine that I ended that sentence with :c.
That said, I really hope that doesn't discourage anyone from interest in the game. This setting is great for a really wide variety of characters, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing fresh faces in the coming app round. (Please imagine I ended that sentence withc: I am pretty hype.) Reserves open on the 20th, and as always, I am happy to help any prospective players with any details of humanization/depowering etc! Anyone can feel free to pp me at

Is there any chance that the cap can be a little higher this round coming up or be instituted after? I only ask because I saw a ton of people talking about apping and some even posted to the tdm. I understand why you would want to cap but since its a new rule it might be a nice compromise for all the players that wanted to come in?

I know this does throw a wrench in some people's CR plans and I feel bad about that :c But right now there are still two whole weeks until reserves open again, and none of the current casts have maxed out their cap, and if anyone was interested in the game because of an existing cast, I hope they'll still find the game on its own (and the existing cast & players) interesting enough to reserve someone else if that doesn't pan out for them.

Anyone who wants to consider a different character than who they were planning and has any questions is feel to PP me and I'm happy to help! I know this is a bummer for some folks, but we both felt that having a cast cap to keep the game diverse was in the game's best interest.
